Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen orion as his entrance music. Royce Gracie has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Herbert Dean's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Royce Gracie!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dean tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dean to the ground. Dean escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dean feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Dean changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dean wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Dean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dean shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gracie napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Dean works to advance to full mount. Gracie defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Dean has control of Gracie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gracie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dean swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gracie is now in Dean's guard. A big mistake from Dean there, giving up the dominant position!
Dean manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gracie manages to get himself to full guard.

Gracie sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Gracie looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Dean! Submission of the night perhaps?
