The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Couture is just out of range.
Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Couture avoids it really well and circles away.
Jr stalks Couture and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Couture's face. Couture staggers backwards, shaken.

Couture is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jr's half guard.

Couture postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jr to stand up.
Couture tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jr swivels and escapes.

Couture has hold of Jr's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jr manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Couture lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

That's time! Jr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Couture fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jr, pushing him back against the cage.

Couture is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jr can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well Couture has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
