Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aengus Americium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerrit Gadolinium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Americium tries to clinch but Gadolinium is having none of it.
Americium shoots for a double leg takedown but Gadolinium sprawls well. He's pushed Americium's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Americium shoots in and drives through. Gadolinium sprawls well.

Americium drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Americium wants to take a breather but Gadolinium is having none of it.

Americium is keen to just control but Gadolinium is a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Americium takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Americium or perhaps it was just good defense by Gadolinium which made him look bad.

Americium decides to stand back up. Americium steps back and let's Gadolinium get back to his feet.

Americium shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gadolinium's guard.

Americium is looking to work some ground and pound but Gadolinium has wrist control.

Gadolinium has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Americium is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gadolinium.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Americium is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Americium takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Americium lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Americium stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Gadolinium gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Americium closes the distance and pushes Gadolinium back into the cage.

Americium tries to pull guard but Gadolinium won't allow it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gadolinium jumps guard but Americium stands there with Gadolinium around his waist. Gadolinium gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Americium has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gadolinium clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gadolinium just trying to survive but Americium is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Americium lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Gadolinium hold on?!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Americium, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
