PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hijav Bahrai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abu Dubai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bahrai pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dubai instigates a clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Dubai.
A frustrated look appears on Dubai's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Good body shot from Dubai.
Dubai pushes Bahrai back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dubai tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bahrai avoids it.
Bahrai misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dubai.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Bahrai dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.
Dubai blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Dubai is trying to force a seperation but Bahrai has the dominant position.

Dubai breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dubai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bahrai wants to slow Dubai down by chopping away at his legs.
Bahrai throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Bahrai throws a leg kick but Dubai moved away.
Dubai connects with a nice looking jab.
Dubai feints and then cracks Bahrai's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bahrai down.
Dubai connects with a single shot there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dubai buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bahrai is breathing heavily.
Dubai lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A head kick misses from Dubai.
Dubai throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Dubai misses with a double jab.
Dubai lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bahrai takes a step back to recover.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Dubai - that will leave a mark!
Abu Dubai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice body kick from Dubai.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bahrai crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dubai - the referee stops the clock and Bahrai gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dubai. Bahrai manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dubai lands a jab-cross combination.
Dubai connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Bahrai! He's out on his feet! Dubai rushes in and drops Bahrai with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
