Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rusik Abasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silent Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rusik Abasov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Silent Killer!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abasov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Killer is looking to escape.

Abasov is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Killer still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Killer has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Killer wants to get back to his feet but Abasov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Killer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

so Killer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Killer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Killer trying to control the position from guard on top but Abasov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Silent Killer dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Abasov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Abasov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Killer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Abasov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Killer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Abasov is working away from the top position though.
Killer is trying to stand.
Abasov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Killer!

Abasov has control of Killer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Killer regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Killer postures up in Abasov's guard and throws a big left but Abasov blocks it.
Killer prevents Abasov from getting back to his feet.
Abasov is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Killer dives into side control.
Killer working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Killer counters with a single leg into guard. Abasov didn't expect that.
Killer throws and elbow that misses. Abasov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Killer's guard. Nice move by Abasov!

Abasov drops back looking for a leg! Killer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Killer manages to kick Abasov off! Abasov jumps back into Killer's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rusik Abasov will probably get the nod.

Killer trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Abasov manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Abasov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Killer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Killer has escaped and now he's on top!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Killer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rusik Abasov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Killer lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Killer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Abasov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Killer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abasov keeps working.
Abasov is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Killer has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Abasov explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Killer shoots in and bounces Abasov off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silent Killer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Killer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
