Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jim Beamer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dante Turmoil!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beamer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Beamer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Beamer misses the shot to the body.
Beamer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Turmoil sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Turmoil doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Beamer fails with a takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Beamer lands a left and a right that send Turmoil crashing to the mat, dazed. Beamer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Turmoil is rocked!


It looks like Dante Turmoil has been cut.
Turmoil doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Turmoil is still on wobbly legs! Can Beamer finish him?

Beamer lands a nice looking body shot.
Turmoil seems to have recovered his senses.

Beamer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Turmoil was covering up waiting for the punch and Beamer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Turmoil can do anything to dispel that myth.

Beamer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Beamer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Turmoil to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Turmoil shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Beamer lands a nice shot to the body.

Beamer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Beamer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Turmoil can do to turn this around?

Turmoil takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Turmoil is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Turmoil takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Beamer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Beamer in particular looking to stall.

Beamer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Turmoil!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turmoil is looking to improve his position but Beamer isn't that keen on the idea.
Turmoil has given up his back here. Will Beamer look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Will Beamer go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Beamer has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Turmoil's body.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Beamer's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Good control from Beamer.
Beamer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Turmoil for as long as he can get away with.
Beamer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Turmoil takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Beamer postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Turmoil looks a forlorn figure.

Beamer wants to control the position but Turmoil frees himself and scrambles - Beamer manages to regain control in side control.

Turmoil feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
