The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Logan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Zuzu is not content to let Logan control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Zuzu is pressed up against the cage. Logan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zuzu down to the mat. Zuzu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Logan shoots for a double leg takedown but Zuzu sprawls well. He's pushed Logan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Quantumbami Zuzu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zuzu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zuzu gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Logan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Logan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Logan has gone for a leg lock! Zuzu slips out almost immediately though and dives into Logan's guard.
Zuzu wants to get up but he can't break Logan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Logan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zuzu as he avoids it easily.

Logan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zuzu's guard.
Logan wants to control from the top but Zuzu keeps moving.

Logan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Zuzu is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Zuzu has escaped and now he's on top!
Zuzu is looking to stand up but Logan won't let him.

Zuzu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Logan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zuzu has managed to get both his arms back between Logan's legs - danger averted.
Zuzu has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Logan is proving hard to escape from.

Logan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zuzu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Paul Logan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Zuzu has had enough of the clinch but Logan keeps him there for the moment.

Logan dives in and grabs Zuzu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zuzu pushes down on Logan's head and hops out.
