Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aiden Grimshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terron Cabal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabal is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Trapt--Sound Off. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aiden Grimshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabal tries to clinch up.
Cabal darts in and clinches Grimshaw up against the cage.
Grimshaw works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Cabal keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Grimshaw's efforts to push away.
Grimshaw lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Cabal breaks from the clinch.
Cabal tries to close the distance and clinch but Grimshaw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cabal drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cabal takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Terron Cabal has been cut.
Grimshaw misses with a head kick.
Cabal buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cabal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grimshaw tries to avoid it but Cabal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grimshaw to the ground. Grimshaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Grimshaw tries to keep at a distance but Cabal has taken the fight into the clinch.
Grimshaw tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cabal avoids it.

Grimshaw tries to throw a body punch but Cabal avoids it by throwing Grimshaw back against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Cabal - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Cabal drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Grimshaw gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cabal escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Aiden Grimshaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terron Cabal.
Cabal fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Grimshaw misses with a takedown attempt - Cabal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Cabal pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Cabal drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Cabal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grimshaw is just riding it out for now. Cabal eventually gives up the hold.

and Grimshaw cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cabal uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Cabal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Grimshaw fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cabal manages to avoid it.
Grimshaw throws a right hand that Cabal ducks under and follows up with a left that Cabal also avoids with ease.
Cabal wants to clinch but Grimshaw slips to the side
and Grimshaw counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Grimshaw takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cabal moves in looking to clinch but Grimshaw pushes him off.
Cabal shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Grimshaw is trying to defend but Cabal finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cabal is nestled in close to Grimshaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Grimshaw is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cabal is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Grimshaw to the mat. Grimshaw regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
