Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, jaques gerard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Panther!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panther throws a right hand that gerard ducks under and follows up with a left that gerard also avoids with ease.
gerard looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Panther shoots in and bounces gerard off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Panther in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Panther accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Panther closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. gerard did well to prevent Panther getting side control.
Panther thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed gerard's head.

gerard is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Panther pulls his head out easily.

gerard is trying to control but can't.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Panther connects with a nice short shot to gerard's temple.
Panther is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Panther gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Panther lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Panther.
Panther fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. gerard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Panther throws a sloppy head kick and gerard moves out of range easily.
gerard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Panther.

Panther looks to land a combination. gerard sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Panther clinches with his opponent.
Panther drags the fight down to the ground.
Panther manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Panther has managed to clinch.
Panther pulls guard successfully.
Panther pulls gerard in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Panther wants to get back to his feet but gerard is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
gerard wants to control from the top but Panther keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
