Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Watanuki Yuusuke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustus Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuusuke shoots in for a double leg but Reed sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Watanuki Yuusuke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yuusuke throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Reed stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Yuusuke changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Yuusuke jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Reed is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Reed and Yuusuke has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Reed pushes Yuusuke away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Yuusuke gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Yuusuke wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reed, who protects the arm well.
Reed wants to control but Yuusuke postures up.

Reed pushes Yuusuke away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Yuusuke gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Reed tries to buck Yuusuke off but Yuusuke is having none of it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Reed thuds his shin into the meat of Yuusuke's side.
A slapping body kick lands there for Reed.
Yuusuke takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Reed rushes Yuusuke and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Reed just leaning against Yuusuke, taking a breather.
Reed breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reed defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Yuusuke.
Reed shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yuusuke but Yuusuke pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Yuusuke moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Reed has worked his arm free - good work by Reed!
Yuusuke swings around for an armbar but Reed sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Yuusuke's guard.

Yuusuke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Reed's guard.

Yuusuke feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Yuusuke gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Yuusuke bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
