Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keli Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendes has chosen My Way by Limp Bizkit as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Beast throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mendes wants to clinch up but Beast keeps it at a distance.
Mendes misses with a wild body shot.

Mendes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Beast's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Mendes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mendes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Mendes has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Beast regains guard immediately.

Mendes stands and throws Beast's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Beast is not content to let Mendes control the position.
