Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rutherford Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock comes into the arena with Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze swings for the body but Shamrock moves out of range.
Haze throws the kick towards the body but Shamrock avoids it.
Shamrock has closed the distance and engaged Haze in a clinch.
Shamrock throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hazes head.
Haze tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Haze misses with a punch to the body.
Shamrock pressing his opponent against the ropes.
Haze throws a head punch that misses.
Haze misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Shamrock just leaning against Haze, taking a breather.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haze tries a body shot but Shamrock blocks it.
Haze misses with some punches.

Haze goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Shamrock digs a right hand underneath Haze's ribcage. Haze let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Haze swings wildly with an uppercut but Shamrock uses good head movement to avoid it.
Haze is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Shamrock manages to break the clinch.
Haze takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Haze.
Shamrock walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Tyler Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shamrock tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haze sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shamrock somewhat.
Haze looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Haze keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shamrock is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Haze's half guard.
Shamrock works his way into full mount!
Shamrock throwing strikes here but Haze is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Shamrock avoids the attempt from Haze to control.
Shamrock with shots to the head and body - Haze looks very uncomfortable down there.

Shamrock throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Haze really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shamrock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Haze is squirming around, avoiding Shamrock's attempts to control the action.
Haze tries to hold on but Shamrock postures up.
Shamrock jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Haze manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Shamrock is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Haze looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shamrock gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Haze is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shamrock lets go of the hold and Haze can pop his arm back in it's socket.
