The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Titterington throws the kick towards the body but piper avoids it.
piper keeps the fight on the outside.
piper fails to land the takedown.
piper shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Titterington defends it nicely.
piper avoids the head kick by Titterington.
Titterington tries to clinch but piper moves out of range.
Titterington misses with a jab, cross combination.
Titterington looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

piper shoots in for a takedown but Titterington shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for pete piper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

piper feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

piper is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Titterington is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Titterington flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. piper anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Titterington and secures both hooks! This could be bad! piper slips an arm under Titterington chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. piper has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. piper is squeezing on Titterington like an anaconda would it's prey. Titterington fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
