The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilavitku shoots for a double leg takedown but Kuorma sprawls well. He's pushed Hilavitku's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kuorma fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kuorma connects with a right hand. Hilavitku shakes it off.
Hilavitku displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kuorma throws out the jab.
Hilavitku shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Niko Hilavitku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hilavitku closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kuorma circles away.
Max Kuorma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niko Hilavitku.
Hilavitku shoots in for a double leg but Kuorma sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hilavitku tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kuorma swivels and escapes.
Hilavitku shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kuorma as he avoids it easily.
No luck for Hilavitku with that takedown attempt.

Hilavitku shoots in for a double leg but Kuorma sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kuorma throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hilavitku was covering up waiting for the punch and Kuorma finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hilavitku looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kuorma has picked Hilavitku up and slammed him! Hilavitku can't keep hold of the triangle and Kuorma manages to pass to side control!
Kuorma decides to stand back up. Kuorma steps back and let's Hilavitku get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kuorma lands a nice hook to Hilavitku's body. Hilavitku takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kuorma scores with a jab.
It looks like Niko Hilavitku has been cut.
Kuorma cracks Hilavitku with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
