The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaginho shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Aguiar as he avoids it easily.
Zaginho shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aguiar pinned against the cage. Aguiar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Aguiar doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Zaginho counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Zaginho.

Zaginho drops back looking for a leg! Aguiar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aguiar manages to kick Zaginho off! Zaginho jumps back into Aguiar's guard.
Aguiar tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Zaginho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Aguiar is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Zaginho drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Aguiar dives on top into guard.

Zaginho is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aguiar is aware though and is defending well.
Zaginho is breathing heavily.

Aguiar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zaginho has his foot on Aguiar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aguiar works his way back into a safe position though.

Aguiar wants to stand but Zaginho is controlling his posture from full guard.
Aguiar wants to pass the guard but Zaginho is keeping the position.
Aguiar wants to control from the top but Zaginho keeps moving.

Zaginho pushes a forearm under Aguiar's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Aguiar is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
