The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubim misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fox shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fox showed some decent athleticism there.
Fox looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Rubim avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fox.
Fox thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Rubim to regain full guard.
Rubim is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Fox tries to bum rush Rubim with a series of wild strikes but Rubim uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A looping hook to the body misses from Rubim. Fox does a little dance to reset his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fox moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Nick Fox overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fox wants to control but Rubim is keeping him busy.

Rubim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fox has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rubim has managed to get both his arms back between Fox's legs - danger averted.
