Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Velvet Jones!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Godfathers A Chode!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chode comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chode throws out the jab.
Chode stuns Jones with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Chode was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jones misses with a looping left.
Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jones lands with a hook. Chode tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jones throws a right hand that Chode ducks under and follows up with a left that Chode also avoids with ease.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A looping hook to the body misses from Chode. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chode scores with a one two! Jones had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Chode misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones throws a series of punches but Chode moves out of range.
Chode falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jones counters with a crisp right hand that drops Chode! Jones lets Chode back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Chode is rocked!
It looks like Godfathers A Chode has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Chode's defenses. It connects perfectly with Chode's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Velvet Jones!
