The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
truth tries to clinch but Veavatne moves out of range.

truth looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

imma truth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
truth tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Veavatne is able to avoid easily.

Veavatne looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks truth with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

truth moves in looking to clinch but Veavatne pushes him off.

Veavatne rushes truth and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
truth is trying to force a seperation but Veavatne has the dominant position.
Veavatne jumps guard and drags truth to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Veavatne pulls truth in close to prevent any damage.
truth has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Veavatne is proving hard to escape from.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
truth wants to get up but he can't break Veavatne's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Veavatne wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Veavatne is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
