PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Carrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brenden Tully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carrey comes to the cage accompanied by When the man comes around - Johnny Cash. Tully comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Open Your Eyes kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Carrey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brenden Tully !
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carrey fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Carrey tries to clinch but Tully is having none of it.
Carrey throws a lazy right hand but Tully sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tully slaps away a takedown attempt from Carrey, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Tully changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carrey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Tully is working to tighten is grip on Carrey's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Carrey has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tully is really squeezing tight and eventually Carrey passes out! Tully breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
