Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Angelito Barraquinha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasily Smyslov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barraquinha's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Mamas & The Papas - Dream a little dream of me. Smyslov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Potpourri D'Orange (SZS MAD Ver.) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barraquinha fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smyslov manages to avoid it.
Barraquinha throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barraquinha dips to his left and cracks Smyslov with an uppercut!

It looks like Vasily Smyslov has been cut.
Smyslov scores with a sloppy right hand. Barraquinha should have avoided that one.
A bone on bone clash there as Barraquinha blocks the leg kick.
Barraquinha throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Vasily Smyslov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smyslov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Smyslov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barraquinha tries to avoid it but Smyslov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barraquinha to the ground. Barraquinha escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Barraquinha throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smyslov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smyslov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Barraquinha throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smyslov's head.
Barraquinha thuds his shin into the meat of Smyslov's side.
Smyslov swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Barraquinha looks to score with a jab to the body but Smyslov is just out of range.
Barraquinha lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Smyslov tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Barraquinha is able to avoid easily.

Barraquinha scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Barraquinha is looking to wear down Smyslov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Smyslov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barraquinha to score with a decent uppercut.
Barraquinha displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smyslov throws out the jab.
Smyslov throws out a loose jab but Barraquinha uses good head movement to avoid it.
Barraquinha steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smyslov.
Smyslov shoots for a double leg takedown but Barraquinha sprawls well. He's pushed Smyslov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smyslov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barraquinha.
Smyslov just misses with a punch to the body.
Smyslov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barraquinha pinned against the cage. Barraquinha gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Angelito Barraquinha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vasily Smyslov.

Barraquinha cracks Smyslov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Barraquinha has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smyslov to stand back up!

That has opened up Vasily Smyslov's cut even more.

Barraquinha drops Smyslov with a straight right hand, right on the button! Barraquinha follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
