Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dale Crum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dale Crum could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Earl Simmons's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dale Crum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Simmons looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Crum counters with a good low kick that Simmons was not able to check.

Oh Crum is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Crum throws a hook to the side of Simmons's head but Simmons sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Simmons tries for a takedown but Crum sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dale Crum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earl Simmons.
Crum's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Crum duly obliges.

Simmons remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Simmons looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Crum with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
