Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ari Birmiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shave Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Birmiski comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Back - T.I. Face has chosen Welcome to the TerrorDome as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ari Birmiski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shave Face!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birmiski uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Face.
Birmiski fails with the takedown.
Face throws the left hand but Birmiski avoids the punch easily.

Face tries to keep at a distance but Birmiski has taken the fight into the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Face.

Face escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Face misses the jab.

Face gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Birmiski to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Face wants to sweep but no luck.

Birmiski drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Face dives on top into guard.

Birmiski looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Face passes into half guard.

Birmiski is looking to get back to is feet but Face passes into side control.
Birmiski tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Face in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Birmiski is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Birmiski wants to control but Face postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Birmiski tries to bench press Face off him but Face keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Face happy to just control the position for now.
Face wants to lay and pray for a moment but Birmiski keeps working.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Face is looking to land body kicks.
Birmiski slaps away a takedown attempt from Face, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Birmiski doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Face connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Birmiski dives in and grabs Face's left leg, looking for a takedown. Face pushes down on Birmiski's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ari Birmiski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Face missing with a left hand there. Birmiski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Face finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Face throws a hook to the side of Birmiski's head but Birmiski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Birmiski tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Face counters with a single leg into guard. Birmiski didn't expect that.
Face really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Birmiski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Birmiski isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Face stacks Birmiski on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Face!

Birmiski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Face pulls his head out easily.
Face controlling the pace.

Face prevents Birmiski from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shave Face dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Face moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Ari Birmiski has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Birmiski.
Birmiski avoids a punch combination nicely.

Face scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Face moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Face fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Face throws a shot from downtown. Birmiski moves away and avoids it.
Birmiski fails with the takedown.
Birmiski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Birmiski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Birmiski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Face defends it well.

Birmiski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Face doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Birmiski.
Birmiski is just content to waste time from the top position. Face takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Birmiski is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Face is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Face has escaped and now he's on top!
Face must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Face got a little sloppy there for a moment and Birmiski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Face has managed to get both his arms back between Birmiski's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Birmiski is looking for a triangle but Face pushes his legs off easily.

Birmiski has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Face is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Birmiski.

Birmiski is working hard here to advance position.

Shave Face showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Face throws out a loose jab but Birmiski uses good head movement to avoid it.

Face throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Face throws the left hand but Birmiski avoids the punch easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Birmiski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Face misses with an uppercut.
Birmiski shoots in for a takedown but Face shows good takedown defense.
Birmiski moves out of range of the leg kick from Face.

Birmiski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Face!

Birmiski moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Face has worked his arm free - good work by Face!

Birmiski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Birmiski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Shave Face comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Face winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
