The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mont Alvernne tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mont Alvernne to the ground. Mont Alvernne escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva throws a front kick aimed at Mont Alvernne's knee but Mont Alvernne avoids it well.
Silva wants to clinch up but Mont Alvernne keeps it at a distance.
Silva missing with a left hand there. Mont Alvernne was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Mont Alvernne tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mont Alvernne manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
