Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jordan gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jordan gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez doesn't manage to clinch there - gracie circles away.
Perez throws a head kick that misses.
A head kick misses from Perez.
gracie avoids the head kick by Perez.
Perez tries a head kick but it misses.
Perez lets loose with a powerful body kick. gracie will feel that in the morning.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Perez.
Perez throws a head kick but gracie moves out of range.
gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Perez.
gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perez tries to avoid it but gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perez to the ground. Perez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Perez throws a series of punches but gracie moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick from Perez lands but gracie takes it in his stride.
Perez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Perez scores with a nice body kick.
gracie shoots in for a double leg but Perez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

gracie takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Perez is looking to clinch but gracie is avoiding it.
A big left from Perez misses.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch but gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perez tries to push off, looking to stand up, but gracie manages to move to mount!

gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Perez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Perez really wants to buck gracie off and get back to his feet.

gracie looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Perez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Perez is breathing heavily.
Perez is looking to improve his position but gracie isn't that keen on the idea.

gracie working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perez is desperately trying to improve his position but gracie has a good base and remains in mount.

gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Perez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from gracie.

Perez trying desperately to get to his feet.
Perez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Perez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for gracie on the ground.
Perez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

gracie is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! gracie extends the arm and Perez is forced to tap!
