The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Karaoglu.

Karaoglu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ribeiro avoids it really well and circles away.
Karaoglu closes the distance and clinches up with Ribeiro, looking for a takedown. Karaoglu pushes Ribeiro against the cage but Ribeiro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gabriel Ribeiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aziz Karaoglu.
Karaoglu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ribeiro tries to avoid it but Karaoglu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ribeiro to the ground. Ribeiro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
