Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rubao Valadares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Mojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mojo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Valadares is trying to defend but Mojo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Valadares wants to get back to full guard.
Valadares is looking to control Mojo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Valadares avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mojo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mojo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Valadares dives on top into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Valadares wants to stand but Mojo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mojo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Mojo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Valadares doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Valadares manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Valadares connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Mojo! He's out on his feet! Valadares rushes in and drops Mojo with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
