Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between james blonde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davie Jones Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). blonde has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones Jr tries to clinch but blonde is having none of it.
Davie Jones Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
blonde is breathing heavily.

It looks like james blonde has been cut.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones Jr connects with a nice short shot to blonde's temple.

Jones Jr stands and steps away. blonde gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jones Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Jones Jr stands up and beckons blonde to join him on the feet.

and blonde decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones Jr's guard.

Jones Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. blonde doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. blonde manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

blonde shoots in and drives through. Jones Jr sprawls well.
Jones Jr lands with a kick to the temple. blonde shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

blonde changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones Jr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jones Jr tries to bench press blonde off him but blonde keeps the position.
blonde wants to control but Jones Jr is keeping him busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones Jr can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jones Jr gets back to half guard.
Jones Jr works his way to full guard. Good work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones Jr tries to strike from the bottom.
Jones Jr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst blonde is controlling him.

Jones Jr pushes blonde off and scrambles back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
