Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson comes to the cage accompanied by Tech N9ne - Like Yeah. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Patterson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kruger swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kruger is looking to improve his position but Patterson isn't that keen on the idea.

Patterson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kruger doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Patterson.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kruger moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Kruger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Patterson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Patterson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kruger has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Patterson has managed to get both his arms back between Kruger's legs - danger averted.

Kruger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Patterson defends it easily.

Patterson uses his free foot to push down on Kruger's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kruger.

Patterson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kruger connects with a nice short shot to Patterson's temple.

Kruger drops back looking for a leg! Patterson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Patterson manages to kick Kruger off! Kruger jumps back into Patterson's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Patterson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Patterson is sitting in close to Kruger's body. Kruger has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Patterson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Patterson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kruger.
