Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between killa joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigue Francouer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigue Francouer will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
joe throws a head kick that misses.

joe clinches up against the cage.
joe works on Francouer's body with a couple of short punches.

Francouer successfully pulls guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as joe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
joe controls from within his opponent's guard.

joe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Francouer on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

joe has closed the distance and engaged Francouer in a clinch.
Francouer is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Francouer scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Francouer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

joe wants to control but Francouer is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Francouer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but joe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and joe counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Francouer is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Francouer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Francouer wants it to stay on the feet.
