Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dean Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Proffitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dean Bennett could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jason Proffitt's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proffitt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bennett.
Bennett throws a head kick that misses.
Proffitt slips a jab and a cross from Bennett.
Bennett pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bennett forces Proffitt back against the cage and clinches.
Bennett misses with a knee to the head.
Bennett connects with a nasty looking knee right to Proffitt's face.

Bennett breaks the clinch.
Proffitt avoids the head kick by Bennett.
Proffitt shoots in but Bennett avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bennett swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Proffitt.
Bennett throws a head kick but Proffitt moves out of range.
Proffitt tries to clinch but Bennett moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Proffitt or perhaps it was just good defense by Bennett which made him look bad.
Proffitt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bennett tries to avoid it but Proffitt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bennett to the ground. Bennett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dean Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Proffitt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Proffitt shoots in but no luck this time.
Proffitt tries for a takedown but Bennett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bennett lands a high kick to the side of Proffitt's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Bennett dives into guard, looking to finish.

Proffitt is rocked!
Proffitt looks gassed!
Bennett wants to get up but he can't break Proffitt's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Proffitt is still in real trouble! Can Bennett finish him?

Proffitt looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Bennett is defending well. Proffitt quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bennett has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Proffitt celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
