Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Jager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rollo Smek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Jager looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jager looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smek is fending him off so far but Jager persists. Nope, Smek circles away and we're back to standing.
Smek ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Smek stuffs the takedown attempt from Jager. Jager gets slowly back to his feet.
Jake Jager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jager is breathing heavily.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rollo Smek just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jager is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Smek is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Smek manages to escape and get back to his feet!

and Smek counters with a big head kick but Jager shrugs it off.

and Smek connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jager has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smek avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jager feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jager has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smek can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
