PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Garelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nova Uniao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garelli kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Patriarch on a Vespa. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uniao throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Garelli misses with a body shot.
Uniao takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A big right from Garelli misses.
Garelli throws a series of punches but Uniao moves out of range.
Garelli scoring well with a low kick there.

Uniao feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Uniao parries the strikes from Garelli easily there. Garelli is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Uniao to escape.
Garelli wants to lay and pray for a moment but Uniao keeps working.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Uniao takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Uniao wants to sweep here but Garelli controlling him for the moment.

Garelli got a little sloppy there for a moment and Uniao has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garelli has managed to get both his arms back between Uniao's legs - danger averted.
Uniao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Garelli's guard.

Uniao is wriggling around trying to escape.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Garelli will probably get the nod.
