Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jessy Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ventura rushes Hill and presses him up against the cage.

Ventura tightens his grip and picks Hill up, before dumping him to the ground. Hill manages to land in guard.
Ventura with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hill is controlling Ventura's posture.
Ventura looking to sit in guard and control but Hill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill advances to half guard.

Hill wants to work for an arm triangle but Ventura is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hill is just content to waste time from the top position. Ventura takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Hill slips nicely into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ventura is trying is best to control the position here.
Ventura wants to get back to full guard.
Hill tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ventura knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hill scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ventura pushes Hill off looking to stand but Hill dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill trying to control the action but Ventura is working from the bottom.
Hill looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Hill wants to pass the guard but Ventura is defending well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ventura keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Ventura tries to get to full guard but Hill has control of the leg.
Hill trying to mount his opponent but Ventura defends it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Ventura lands with a kick to the temple. Hill shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Hill shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hill gets a takedown into half guard.
Ventura landing small, sideways elbows.
Hill looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ventura wants to get back to full guard.

Hill seems to be working for a kimura but Ventura defends the submission attempt.
Ventura is trying to escape back to his feet but Hill uses the scramble to pass into side control.
You can see the frustration on Ventura's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Hill is working to tighten is grip on Ventura's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ventura has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hill is really squeezing tight and eventually Ventura passes out! Hill breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
