Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fifty Cent!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogers moves into the clinch.
Rogers is trying to break free.

Cent breaks from the clinch.
Cent dodges the punch combination from Rogers.
Cent needs to keep his hands up - Rogers had a free shot at his head there.

Cent looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rogers!
Cent controlling the position easily from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogers tries to reverse the position but Cent maintains control.
Rogers is squirming around, avoiding Cent's attempts to control the action.

Rogers defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cent.

Cent is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rogers has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Cent looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rogers tries to hold on but Cent pushes him away.
Rogers prevents any damage by holding on tight.
Rogers can't escape the position.
Rogers wants to control but Cent is having none of it.
Rogers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Rogers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Rogers thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cent can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rogers controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rogers postures up and lands a big shot to Cent's brow.

Cent is looking for a triangle but Rogers pushes his legs off easily.
Rogers works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Rogers wants to free his trapped foot but Cent is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cent tries to get to full guard but Rogers has control of the leg.
Cent misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Cent is trying to control but can't.
Cent looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cent is refusing to be controlled, as Rogers sits in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Cent fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Horrible takedown by Cent or perhaps it was just good defense by Rogers which made him look bad.
Rogers wants to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rogers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rogers scores with a punch to the head.
Rogers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cent counters with a three punch combo that has Rogers backing up. Rogers nods at Cent to acknowledge the strikes.

Cent shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cent showed some decent athleticism there.
Cent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rogers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cent stops Rogers from getting back to his feet.
Rogers is trying to maintain the position but Cent is very close to passing his half guard.
Rogers moves into full guard.
Rogers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cent!
Rogers avoids the attempt from Cent to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Rogers is working for a guillotine from mount but Cent frees his head quite easily.
Cent is squirming around, avoiding Rogers's attempts to control the action.
Rogers moves to back control.
Cent tries to escape but Rogers has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Rogers is persistently looking for the submission but Cent is defending it well.
Rogers trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Rogers dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Cent moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Kyle Rogers has been cut.
Rogers misses with a few strikes there.
Rogers stuffs the takedown.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cent paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rogers will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rogers has his takedown stuffed
and Cent counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Cent gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Rogers pulls guard successfully.
Cent preventing the sweep.
Cent is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Cent trying to control the position from guard on top but Rogers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rogers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cent doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cent manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cent won't allow Rogers to sweep him here.

Rogers avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Cent has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rogers to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Cent is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rogers pulls down on the head and he's put Cent to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kyle Rogers!
