Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kevin Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Sanders!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders throws a body kick that misses.
Kevin Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanders clinches.

Sanders breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis is defended easily by Sanders.

Sanders shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Davis has control of Sanders's left arm, preventing Sanders from doing any damage.

Sanders passes Davis's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Let's hope that Sanders has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Davis looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sanders puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Davis is breathing heavily.

Sanders decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Davis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Sanders counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sanders stays in close to Davis's body and controls the position.
I looks like Sanders might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Sanders's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sanders blocking the ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanders can do anything to dispel that myth.
Davis throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Sanders doing his best to control the position. Can he escape?
Davis looking to ground and pound but Sanders is blocking nicely.
Sanders bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Sanders is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Michael Sanders showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Davis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Sanders is pushing Davis up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Davis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Davis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sanders gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sanders has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Davis regains guard immediately.

And that's the end of the fight!
Michael Sanders comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sanders has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
