Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dingle Berrian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asmir Zslevski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dingle Berrian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asmir Zslevski!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berrian misses with a head kick.

Dingle Berrian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zslevski cracks a nice hook into Berrian's ribs.

Berrian looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zslevski is one step ahead there.

Zslevski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Berrian is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Zslevski, into his guard.

Berrian gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Berrian.

Berrian preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Zslevski is looking to take a break and control but Berrian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Zslevski seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Berrian has recovered full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Berrian looks to score with a jab to the body but Zslevski is just out of range.
Zslevski is looking to clinch but Berrian is avoiding it.

and Zslevski counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Berrian!
Zslevski can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Berrian is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zslevski wants to pass the guard but Berrian is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Berrian is in trouble now - Zslevski has advanced to mount!
Berrian is looking to get to half guard.
Zslevski is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Berrian is in real trouble.

Berrian is having to fend off submission attempts from Zslevski, who is looking to sink in the choke. Zslevski doesn't have the hooks in though and Berrian manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Zslevski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Berrian is one step ahead there.
Berrian has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zslevski is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Zslevski looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Berrian has picked Zslevski up and slammed him! Zslevski can't keep hold of the triangle and Berrian manages to pass to side control!

Berrian decides to stand back up. Berrian steps back and let's Zslevski get back to his feet.
Zslevski lands with a shot to the body.

Berrian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Zslevski fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Berrian is out of range.

Asmir Zslevski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zslevski crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Berrian - the referee stops the clock and Zslevski gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Berrian. Zslevski manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Zslevski shoots in for a double leg but Berrian sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Berrian lands a head kick. Zslevski smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Asmir Zslevski has been cut.

and Zslevski counters with a single leg into guard. Berrian didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zslevski looking to sit in guard and control but Berrian gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Asmir Zslevski has got the better of the ground game so far.
Zslevski wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Berrian is now in half guard.
Zslevski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Berrian is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Zslevski!

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Zslevski breaks Berrian's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Zslevski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Berrian looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Berrian looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Berrian!
Berrian is looking to take a break and control but Zslevski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Zslevski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Berrian wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Zslevski sneaks back into half guard.
Zslevski wants to get back to full guard.
Berrian not doing much here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Berrian is looking to advance position but Zslevski won't allow it.
Zslevski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Zslevski won't allow Berrian to pass to mount.
Zslevski wants to control but Berrian is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Zslevski looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Berrian pushes past his half guard into mount!
