Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hector Hoffman!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoffman swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.
No joy there for Hoffman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hoffman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Hoffman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hoffman drops his shoulder and cracks Silva with a huge uppercut! Silva goes down! Can Hoffman finish him?
Hoffman wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva is staying active underneath Hoffman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gabe Silva will probably get the nod.

Silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hoffman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hoffman shrugs it off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hoffman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Hoffman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

Hoffman drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Hoffman off! Hoffman jumps back into Silva's guard.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoffman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoffman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gabe Silva.
