The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunma avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gunma slips a jab and a cross from Kidiaba.
Kidiaba misses with a wild combination.

Kidiaba tries to bum rush Gunma with a series of wild strikes but Gunma uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kidiaba misses with a two punch combination.

Gunma looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kidiaba!

Gunma wants to finish this one by submission but Kidiaba is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gunma.

Gunma is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kidiaba can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kidiaba is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gunma breaks from Kidiaba's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Gunma looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Gunma thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kidiaba wants to try and get back to his feet.
Gunma is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kidiaba can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gunma is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kidiaba is surviving well by controlling Gunma's body position as best he can.
Gunma pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Kidiaba's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Kidiaba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gunma has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kidiaba's face.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
