PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fran Ortego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fran Ortego struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Fran Ortego told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortego is looking to clinch but Angel is avoiding it.
Angel misses with an uppercut.
Angel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ortego avoids it really well and circles away.
Ortego digs a good hook to Angel's body.
Ortego throws a wild body kick that Angel sees coming a mile off.
Ortego takes a swing at Angel's ribcage but misses.
Angel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ortego.
Angel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ortego is fending him off so far but Angel persists. Nope, Ortego circles away and we're back to standing.

Angel goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ortego turns into him and now he's in Angel's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
