Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Ballz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Big Ballz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom Green!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Green will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Green feints and as Ballz raises his hands in defense, Green changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Green content to stall in guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green wants to control from the top but Ballz keeps moving.
Ballz wants to stand but Green is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Green throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ballz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Green wants to control from the top but Ballz keeps moving.
Green is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ballz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Green.
Green ducks under a wild hook from Ballz.
Green throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Green wants to clinch.

Ballz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ballz wants to break free but Green has control.
Green jumps guard but Ballz stands there with Green around his waist. Green gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Big Ballz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Green.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ballz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Green is proving hard to escape from.

Green is looking for a triangle but Ballz pushes his legs off easily.
Green pulls Ballz in close to prevent any damage.
Ballz is looking to stand up but Green won't let him.
Ballz trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Green is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ballz defends well.
Green looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Green not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Green dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Green looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Green shoots in but no luck this time.
Tom Green is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Green closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ballz circles away.
Green lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ballz backs up against the cage.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ballz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Green wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ballz keeps control of Green as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Green jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ballz walks away with a smile on his face. Green gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Green darts in trying to clinch

Green misses with a takedown attempt
and Ballz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A head kick misses from Green.
Ballz misses with a hook. Green ducked under it nicely.
Ballz circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ballz counters with a lovely straight right hand!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Green misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Ballz counters with a stiff right hand.
Green wants to clinch
and Ballz counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Green.
Green wants to control but Ballz is keeping him busy.
Green creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ballz sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Ballz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Green on the ground.

Green trying to control the position but Ballz is working away.
Green misses with the ground and pound.
A lull in the action here.
Green wants to control but Ballz is keeping him busy.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ballz defending against the ground and pound.
Ballz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ballz tries to get out of the position.
Green tries to advance to mount but Ballz denies him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Green gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ballz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Ballz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Green.
Green throws a head punch that misses.
Ballz is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Ballz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Green has his takedown stuffed
and Ballz counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ballz's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Ballz duly obliges.

Ballz wants to stand and escape but instead Green has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Green wants to control from the top but Ballz keeps moving.
Green controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Ballz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Green closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Green looking to control but instead Ballz has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ballz is trying to stand.
Ballz is staying active underneath Green, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Green thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Green connects with a nice short shot to Ballz's temple.
Big Ballz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tom Green is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ballz is not content to let Green control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Big Ballz.
I think Green has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
