Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Narcaleptic Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks throws a right and a left that Arlovski avoids nicely.
Arlovski throws a one two combo.
Arlovski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Brooks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brooks throws out a loose jab but Arlovski uses good head movement to avoid it.
Arlovski doesn't manage to clinch there - Brooks circles away.
Brooks throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Arlovski moves out of range of the strikes.
Arlovski throws a series of punches but Brooks avoids them all with ease.
Arlovski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brooks moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Arlovski stuns Brooks with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Brooks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Arlovski moves away.
Arlovski lands a jab-cross combination.
A left and a right from Arlovski both land. Nice combination.
Arlovski lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Brooks takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brooks throws a series of punches but Arlovski moves out of range.
Brooks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Brooks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Arlovski moves away.
Arlovski stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Arlovski throws a left and a right that both miss

and Arlovski is countered with a crisp right hand from Brooks that sends him to the canvas! Brooks follows him to the mat into side control.

It looks like Narcaleptic Arlovski has been cut.
Arlovski is not content to let Brooks control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brooks is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Arlovski takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Brooks misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Arlovski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ground and pound from Brooks seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Brooks tries to score with some ground and pound. Arlovski controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Brooks tries to get to full guard but Arlovski has control of the leg.

Brooks wants to control but Arlovski is keeping busy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Arlovski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brooks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arlovski.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
