PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Neumann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Drake might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Roky Erickson - Bloody Hammer. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Neumann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Drake tries to avoid it but Neumann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Drake to the ground. Drake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Drake thuds his right hand into Neumann's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Neumann takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Drake throws a head kick that half lands.
Drake lands a nice leg kick that just misses Neumann's sensitive parts.
Drake misses with a head kick.

Neumann looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Drake is trying to stand back up but Neumann is controlling him
Drake is staying active underneath Neumann, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Neumann is looking to advance position but Drake won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Drake looks to land a combination. Neumann sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Drake throws a good cross that connects.
Neumann shoots for a double leg takedown but Drake sprawls well. He's pushed Neumann's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Drake bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Drake throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Drake lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Drake takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Drake leaves Neumann with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Neumann dives in and grabs Drake's left leg, looking for a takedown. Drake pushes down on Neumann's head and hops out.
Steve Drake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Drake lands a big head kick that sends Neumann tumbling to the mat! Drake takes a step backwards and waves Neumann back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Neumann is still on wobbly legs! Can Drake finish him?
Neumann takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Drake darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Drake throws a quick head kick that knocks Neumann silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Drake is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
