The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjorn closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Renato Sanches has been cut.
Sanches tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bjorn was well out of range. Poor timing from Sanches.
Sanches works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bjorn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanches tries to avoid it but Bjorn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanches to the ground. Sanches escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sanches slips under a jab from Bjorn.
Sanches fails to land with a series of punches.
Sanches scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Sigmund Bjorn has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sanches. Bjorn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Renato Sanches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanches goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sanches lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bjorn backs up against the cage.
Bjorn is rocked!
Sanches drops Bjorn with a big left hand! Bjorn is injured, injured bad! Sanches jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Renato Sanches!
