Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junior Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flynn has chosen Bad Ass by Mickey Finn & Aphrodite as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey Flynn!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynn catches Gracie with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mickey Flynn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Flynn closes the distance and clinches.

Flynn breaks the clinch.

Flynn rushes Gracie and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie jumps guard but Flynn stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Flynn lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Flynn lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.

Flynn has Gracie pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Flynn pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gracie tumbling to the mat - Flynn dives into Gracie's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flynn's guard.
Flynn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gracie!
Flynn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Flynn has control of Gracie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gracie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Flynn takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Gracie sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Flynn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
