Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeffy Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Misirlou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jefferson comes into the arena with Fette's Vette blaring out of the sound system. Misirlou has chosen Drake- Over as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeffy Jefferson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Misirlou!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misirlou connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Jefferson shoots in and drives through. Misirlou sprawls well.
Jefferson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Misirlou.
Jefferson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Misirlou shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Misirlou showed some decent athleticism there.
Misirlou is looking to advance position but Jefferson won't allow it.
Jefferson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Misirlou pulls his head out easily.
Jefferson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jefferson.
Misirlou must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jefferson wants to stand up but Misirlou is controlling him.
Misirlou thows a big elbow that misses.
Misirlou got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jefferson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Misirlou has managed to get both his arms back between Jefferson's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Misirlou accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Misirlou chips away with some ground and pound.
Jefferson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Misirlou is controlling him.
Misirlou is stalling in the full guard.
Jefferson has his foot on Misirlou's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Misirlou works his way back into a safe position though.
Jefferson is breathing heavily.
Jefferson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Misirlou wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving.
Misirlou working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Misirlou drops back looking for a leg! Jefferson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jefferson manages to kick Misirlou off! Misirlou jumps back into Jefferson's guard.
Misirlou postures up in Jefferson's guard and throws a big left but Jefferson blocks it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Misirlou shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jefferson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jefferson pushes down on Misirlou's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Misirlou looking for submissions off his back.
Jefferson is working for a kimura but Misirlou is defending it quite comfortably.
Jefferson seems to be looking for submissions.

Misirlou moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Misirlou working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jefferson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jefferson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jefferson stands up over Misirlou, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Misirlou is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jefferson defends well.
Misirlou keeping moving, preventing Jefferson from controlling successfully.
Jefferson wants to pass the guard but Misirlou is keeping the position.
Jefferson wants to control from the top but Misirlou keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Misirlou decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jefferson's guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeffy Jefferson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jefferson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Misirlou gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Misirlou dominated that round.
That's time! Jefferson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Misirlou throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jefferson was covering up waiting for the punch and Misirlou finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jefferson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Misirlou lands a couple of elbows.

Jefferson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Misirlou gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Misirlou is looking to stand up but Jefferson won't let him.
Misirlou has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jefferson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Misirlou is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jefferson pulls down on the head and he's put Misirlou to sleep! This one is all over!
