The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Elorde shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Irvin 's guard.
Elorde has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Elorde thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Elorde uses his free foot to push down on Irvin 's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Irvin .
Irvin is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Elorde lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Irvin looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Elorde! Submission of the night perhaps?
