The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rokudo shoots in and drives through. Leonardoson sprawls well.
Rokudo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Leonardoson as he jumps to the side.
Rokudo shoots in but no luck this time.
Leroy Luther Leonardoson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mukuro Rokudo.

Rokudo tries to keep at a distance but Leonardoson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rokudo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Leonardoson tries to close the distance and clinch but Rokudo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Leonardoson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Leonardoson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rokudo clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Leonardoson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Leonardoson is riding his opponent, not letting Rokudo buck him off.

Leonardoson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Leonardoson.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Leonardoson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rokudo is trying to defend but Leonardoson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Leroy Luther Leonardoson.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Leonardoson wants to get back to his feet but Rokudo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Leonardoson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rokudo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leonardoson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rokudo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leonardoson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rokudo has managed to get both his arms back between Leonardoson's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Mukuro Rokudo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Leonardoson uses his free foot to push down on Rokudo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rokudo.
Rokudo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
