Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kooch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroi Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kooch comes to the cage accompanied by Rusko - Tru Powwa. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Kooch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leroi Moore!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Moore throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Moore throws a shot from downtown. Kooch moves away and avoids it.
Moore just misses with a punch to the body.
Moore swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kooch takes one to the chin there.
Moore throws a jab when Kooch was well out of range.

Moore gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Moore looking for a sweep. Not yet Moore, not yet.
Kooch showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moore is trying to control the position but Kooch postures up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kooch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Moore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kooch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mike Kooch.
Kooch drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A combination from Moore does no damage.
Moore thows a body shot but no joy.
Moore misses with an uppercut.
Moore swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

A looping hook to the body misses from Moore. Kooch does a little dance to reset his feet.
Moore lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kooch circles away quickly and effectively.
Moore throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moore ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kooch moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kooch scores with a hook to the body. Moore takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
No joy there for Moore, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Moore misses with a jab to the body

and Kooch counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kooch loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Moore looking to control.
Moore wants to sweep here but Kooch controlling him for the moment.
Kooch passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Kooch takes a little break here. Moore wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Kooch's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kooch is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Moore has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kooch looks up at the clock and then as Moore takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kooch smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Moore looking for a sweep but Kooch has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Kooch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Moore tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Kooch will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Moore misses the body punch

and Kooch counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Kooch is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moore sees it coming and defends easily.
Moore wants to control but Kooch is keeping busy.

Moore is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Kooch has latched onto it... Big trouble! Kooch pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Moore is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Kooch!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mike Kooch!
