The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox moves away from the strike by Hokanen.
Knox misses with an uppercut.
Knox avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Knox throws a head kick that misses.
Knox thows a body shot but no joy.
Hokanen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Knox on the side of the head.
Hokanen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hokanen blocks a head kick by Knox.
Knox throws a lazy right hand but Hokanen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hokanen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Knox.
Knox on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
No joy there for Knox, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Knox looks gassed!
Hokanen clinches with his opponent.
Hokanen digs a right hand underneath Knox's ribcage. Knox let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Knox wants to break free but Hokanen has control.

Knox is trying to break the clinch but Hokanen has him pressed against the cage.
Knox wants to get back to striking at distance but Hokanen won't allow it.

Hokanen struggles to land a body shot inside as Knox controls his hands.
Hokanen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Hokanen stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Hokanen floors Knox with a big punch on the inside! Knox is trying to recover but Hokanen dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knox is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hokanen is controlling him well.
