Fights has chosen Rudies all Around as his entrance music. I Fights has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, I Fights!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fridman with a nice cross.
Fridman lands a nice looking body shot.
Fridman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like I Fights has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fridman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Fridman feints and as Fights raises his hands in defense, Fridman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fridman advances to half guard.
Fridman performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Fights actively working from the bottom here.
Fights looks gassed!
Fridman trying to pass the guard but Fights defending well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fridman in particular looking to stall.

Fights is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fridman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fights is pressing down on Fridman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fridman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Fights looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Fridman stands and steps away. Fights gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Fights drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Fridman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fights is trying to defend but Fridman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fights is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Fights is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Fridman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fights on the ground.
Fridman wants to control but Fights is keeping him busy.

Fridman gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Fights bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Fridman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fridman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fights gets back to half guard.

Fights wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fights is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fridman tries to stand but can't do so whilst Fights controls his leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fridman lands a glancing blow to the side of Fights's head.
A jab from Fridman finds it's way through Fights's defenses.
Fridman fails to land with a series of punches.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Fridman here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
A combination from Fridman does no damage.
Fridman misses with a straight left.
A nice leg kick lands there from Fridman.
Decent striking displayed by Fridman there.
Fridman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fridman tried to score with a low kick but Fights checks it.
Fights walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Fridman throws the left hand but Fights avoids the punch easily.
Fights keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fridman.
Fridman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fights.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fights jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Fights shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fridman sprawls well. Fridman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fights gets slowly back to his feet.

Fights rushes Fridman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fights goes for a takedown attempt but Fridman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fridman tries to clinch there but Fights circles away.
Fights closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Fights has a takedown stuffed.
Alex Fridman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of I Fights.
Fights keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fridman tries to bum rush Fights with a series of wild strikes but Fights uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fridman. Fights does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fridman throws a jab when Fights was well out of range.
Fights changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fridman tries to avoid it but Fights manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fridman to the ground. Fridman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Alex Fridman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Danga de danga de dang - Fridman scores with a four punch combination!


That has opened up I Fights's cut even more.
Fights is breathing heavily.
Fridman swinging wildly here.
Fridman connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fights walks into a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fridman throws a nice looking combination but Fights bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Alex Fridman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fights takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fridman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fights pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
No joy there for Fridman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fridman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fights takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


The cut above I Fights's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Fridman digs a good hook to Fights's body.
Fridman throws a nice looking combination but Fights bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fridman scores with a leg kick.
Fights moves forwards but Fridman connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Nice body punch from Fridman.
Fights on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Left hook, right uppercut from Fridman.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fridman scores with a punch to the head.


I Fights's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at I Fights's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
